Dr. Simons and staff,

Back in 2016, a coworker of mine brought into our office this sweet little girl after her mama had kittens under her house. I was smitten with her instantly and took her home with me that very day. She was the runt of the litter but she had the biggest heart. She gave me joy every day for the past 17 years. She was a big snuggler and would love to nuzzle her nose in my ear. She would get under the blankets at night with me and literally sleep there for 6-7 hours.

I dreaded saying goodbye to her yesterday but I wanted to know what was best for her and put selfishness aside. I wanted to take her home and just make everything okay. I am at peace with my decision and know that she is up in heaven snuggling with her big brother Zane who passed in 2021. I have so many memories that I will hold in my heart forever. Sleep well, my sweet angel.

I want to express my deepest appreciation to Dr. Sinons and all of her staff. They were so caring, patient, compassionate, and understanding, and made the transition more bearable. I am forever grateful to you all.

Dear Drs. Lynn Simons and Katrea Howard,

The story of Remi…
I’m writing this message because my life will be forever changed as Remi passed away this Thursday afternoon from the effects of cancer. While cancer is a cruel disease, and he was uncomfortable, he never showed signs that he was in any intense pain. He was lying in his bed with me lying beside him when he passed away. I am writing this on a memorial page not to mourn his loss but to celebrate his life. Remi came to me when he was about 2 years old. He had a skin disorder and nobody wanted to handle him. When I got him I took him to my vet then and was told we could fix him up with steroid shots, and it worked. His skin cleared up and he was like new, the only problem was every month he had to have the shots or they would come back. One day I noticed he was drinking a lot of water and urinating heavily. Back to the vet we went, and we found out he had developed diabetes from the steroid shots. So please, if you are reading this, please let Remi’s life experience help you: find a good vet that can help you find the right way to manage your dog’s disease.

That brings me to Aidmore. You guys took on the challenge of helping us to cope and deal with this disease. By the way, the skin disorder disappeared with the development of diabetes. You helped us regulate diabetes, but what makes you guys amazing is when we were having trouble getting it under control, instead of just keeping on trying and spending unnecessary money, you found a specialist who could help. And the same when the blindness from diabetes came: instead of just trying to deal with it, you found another specialist that was actually able to give him his sight back. And even then when the cancer came, once again you continued to be his primary caregiver but found another specialist to slow the cancer down and gave him more life to live. When I say live, Remi lived with diabetes, and after the eye surgery, he had his vision for 6 years (yes, years) and he lived an amazing life to have been through so much and to have such a love for life. When people would see him they could believe he was diabetic, even some of the specialists couldn’t believe he was diabetic. He lived life to the fullest, from going on long walks leading the way to chasing the cat round and round the kitchen island, to playing with his sister, and so much more. All of this is a credit to Aidmore, as they were always there when we needed them and even know they could have just kept trying to treat him, they chose to spend the time and find help to deal with the different problems. These two doctors and their staff genuinely care about their patients and their welfare and are an amazing group of people. I think as far as Remi was concerned, they were family.
